                Homecoming Parade

What you need to know this week:

1. Friday-Away Game at Mariemont.  Report time is 5:30. Students will lead the trailer and change into uniforms.  We will depart on 2 buses by 5:45.  We will parade into the stadium.  The Marching Rockets will only be performing in the stands.  Students will have a chance to visit the concession stand.  Band Boosters will provide water.
   

Parents:  Please wait in a parking spot as the trailer and 4 busses are trying to unload in a congested area.  Students should wait near the band room until their ride arrives.

1. The band boosters staff the concession stands for CNE athletic competitions.  Band students can generate trip scholarship by working the concession stand or having family and friends work for them in the concessions stand.  Trip scholarship may be used for band camp fees, band shoes, drama cast fees and 2026 Florida tour payments.  We have several concession openings this week and next week that need filled-several spots open next week.  2025 Fall Concession Spreadsheet  Please email Ms. Leiman or Mr. Moore to sign up.
   

1. The band boosters have a Drive 4 UR Community Event on Saturday, September 6 from 10-2 on the CNE Campus.   You can help the band boosters earn funds for instruments and uniforms by signing up to test drive a car at the event and completing a post event survey.  You can sign up to support the Marching Rockets through this link.
   
2. Tuesday, September 16     $300 Florida Tour Deposit Due
   
3. Students should sign up for the Music Department Florida Tour.  A $300 Deposit and Enrollment form is due Tuesday, September 16.  The trip packet can be found here.
   

What you need to start planning for next week:

ARRIVAL and DISMISSAL:  Students should be dropped off and picked by the band room door at the back of the school.  I try my best to be at every band event 30 minutes before the report time to open the door.  STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE INSIDE THE SCHOOL BUILDING BEFORE MR. MOORE, MR. STENGER, MS. MACLEOD, or MS. LEIMAN  ARRIVE.  

•  Please leave the first four spots by the building available for band director parking.  
  
• We share this area with the football team, so please be aware when picking up and dropping off.
  
• During football games, the buses and trailers will need a path to this area.  Please wait in a parking space.
  
• Students must wait in the area outside the band room for pick up.  I don't want to leave anyone unsupervised.  If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, it would be helpful to make other arrangements for your child's transportation.They should always wait near the firelane by the band room so Mr. Moore  knows who is still waiting for a ride.
