2023 Week 1

Rocket Fans:

Tomorrow is the first day of school.  We will be traveling to support the football team on SATURDAY as they challenge Riverview East at Taft HS Field.

What you need to know this week:

1.  Saturday-Report time is 1:00.  We will load the trailer and depart on buses.  Our focus will be performing in the stands and supporting the team.  We will wear summer uniforms.  A Blue Band shirt and shorts.  Band shirts will be available at school on Friday and before we depart on Saturday.  Cost is $10 payable to CNE Band Boosters.  We may perform the dance from our band camp show.

• Students should eat before they arrive.   If we perform on the field, students will have a break during 3rd quarter to visit the restroom and concession stand.  If we do not perform on the field, we will send the students to the concession stand in shifts.
• Boosters will provide water during the game.  
• Here is the link for fans to buy tickets.  Band members get in free.

2.  The cookie dough fundraiser from band camp is due this weekend.
3.  We have several concession openings this week and next week that need filled.

What you need to start planning for next week:

1. Tuesday- Nite Band Practice 5:30-8:00
2. Thursday-Drumline tune up after school from 2:10-3:00.  This is for drumline only.  Late bus is available, please send a note stating that your child is staying after school for drum tutoring.
3. Friday-Home game at MVCA
