The band did a great job at the Little Miami Band Show-especially considering
a. 20% of the band was absent
b. They did not schedule our buses to pick us up
c. When our transportation did show up, there was only one bus
d. They moved us up in the performance order because another band’s bus got in an accident.
The Last day to sign up for Band Banquet is Friday, Oct. 27. The Banquet is Thursday, November 2 in the Middle School Gym. Tickets are $10 per person.
TUESDAY-The Marching Rockets will be performing their 13th annual end of season Varsity Show Concert. Report time is 6:00 and the show will start at 6:30 in the gym. Uniforms with no hats-long hair must be tied back. Seniors, have your senior boards there by 6:00.
FRIDAY- The Marching Rockets will be travelling to Williamsburg and the Rockets take on the Wildcats. A win would give the CNE Football team its first winning season in 21 years. Due to Williamsburg’s senior night and their hospitable attitude towards marching bands, we will not be performing at halftime. Report time is 5:30. We will change into uniforms and depart by 5:40. Students should eat before they arrive. They will have sequenced breaks during the 2nd and 3rd quarters and halftime to visit the restroom and concession stand.
Band Boosters
Our monthly band booster meeting will be following the Goshen Parade on November 18.
Academic Eligibility
Clermont Northeastern has made a focus on raising our academic achievement. Students that are not academically eligible to perform with the band (passing 5 classes for 1st quarter) are still allowed to practice with the band. They are not allowed to perform or travel with the band until they are passing five classes on the next grading period.
